Q: Do I need to be Jewish to host an event at Legacy Ballroom since it is located inside the Jewish Community Center? A: No, That is not the case. Everyone is welcome at Legacy Ballroom and at the Jewish Community Center.
Q: Are there any dietary restrictions? A: We do have a dietary restriction that all guests must adhere to and that is that no pork or shellfish may be served on the menu. This is because of Jewish dietary laws.
Q: How many people can fit inside of the ballroom? A: Well, that depends on the set up.
If guests are having dinner and dancing the desired amount would be up to 200 people.
If guests are not having dancing, the desired amount can be raised by around 40 people.
If guests are setting up for a cocktail party without tables and chairs, the desired amount could be in upwards of 300 people.
Q: Is there ample parking at Legacy Ballroom? A: Yes, we have enough spaces for everyone’s guests.
Q: Do you provide catering at Legacy? A: Yes, we do have an amazing in house “preferred” full service caterer with many years of experience. (Please see the Food for Thought Catering menu and photos on our website).
Q: Can we use any other caterers at Legacy? A: Yes, we have a list of outside caterers you may use. Please inquire with Jill, the Banquet Manager.
Q: Does Legacy provide linens? A: No. In most cases the caterer provides linens for the clients.
Q: Can we bring our own food into Legacy? A: If it is a small gathering (under 60 guests) food may come from a licensed professional establishment such as Costco, supermarkets or deli’s etc are acceptable. One cannot bring “homemade” food into Legacy.
Q: Can we bring our own alcohol into Legacy? A: Yes. We do require a special events policy with one million dollars worth of coverage when guests bring in their own alcohol.
Q: Will we have to serve our own alcohol if we bring it in ourselves? A: No. Your full service caterers will normally guide you on the amounts you will need to purchase and they will usually provide customers with beverage attendants and bartenders. (Check with your caterer).
Q: Will we have to set up and breakdown our own tables and chairs for the event? A: No, Legacy staff will have that finished by the time you come in to do any personalized set up.
Q: Can we come in the day before to do our personalized set-up? A: If the event is on a Saturday, clients may come in on Friday (at no additional charge) to do their personalized set-up. If the event is being held on a Sunday and there is an event in the ballroom on the Saturday before, clients can come in early Sunday morning to do their personalized set-up.
Q: Do you have entertaining space other than the ballroom? Answer: Yes. We have a beautiful Fireside Lounge that is often used as part of the hors’deourvers/cocktail hour. This cozy and attractive room boasts a large stone fireplace in the center and a baby grand piano which guests are more than welcome to utilize if they wish. The Fireside Lounge can also be rented by itself for smaller gatherings. It can seat about 40-50 guests
Q: Is there a person we can contact in the time leading up to our event who can answer our questions. A: Yes. Our experienced and very helpful banquet manager, Jill Sherman, is at your disposal whenever needed.
